Call Out My Name

This is a song I wrote for a spiritual song contest. It is deliberately free of any particular dogma (as I am not religious) and places the Divine from the viewpoint of connecting with us whenever we feel joy or make a heartfelt connection or sing from the heart. The "Call out my name..." is a metaphor for making connection with the Divine.

This song is about loving someone and appreciating them for who they are, even if they don't agree with your every thought and decision. Hahaha... A light-hearted ballad with a serious note. This song placed 5th in the "Love Song Can" of the Broadjam Six Pack competition...out of thousands of love songs.

This one was the first time I consciously tried to write a song with a hook (usually I really don't care and just write what I want), about a fictitious situation (yet inspired by a friend's experiences). Feedback so far suggests that I succeeded on the "hook" part.

This one was written based on a reading I was once given on a past life. For the purposes of the song, I relate the story as a dream sequence. There are two links.
